Sri Chanchalapathi Dasa has been extensively involved in the functioning of the school lunch programme and plays a prominent role in the establishment of state-of-the-art Akshaya Patra kitchens across India and abroad.
Starting on a small scale by providing mid-day meals to approximately 1500 students in 5 government schools in Bangalore, the Foundation has grown significantly. Presently, Akshaya Patra serves over 2 million children daily across 22,000 schools spanning 16 states and 2 Union Territories of India.
The Foundation's efforts have significantly contributed to enhancing access to education and improving the quality of life for millions of school children across India. The growth and impact of Akshaya Patra exemplify his leadership and strategic approach to creating a sustainable solution to a pressing societal challenge.
